We have owned this vehicle since the early Seventies. The restoration was a fairly comprehensive exercise; the woodwork was replaced where necessary, with the rest of the bodywork and re-spraying carried out by a company at Wyong, NSW. The motor and gearbox were rebuilt and rewired. I recently had the brake drums machined and sleeves shrink-fitted and machined to size, along with a rebuilt vacuum booster that I fitted many years ago - the brakes are now the best they have ever been. It was on full registration up until 2 years ago, and has helped us move house on two occasions.
The bodywork (timber frame) is showing signs of movement and the gearbox needs a bit of attention but, for a vehicle that is 75 years old, it is as honest as the day is long. I think that, in the right hands, it will be good for another 75 years.
